"The Empress" - My Collection

Riverside Empress Water Pitcher and Tumbler Set, ca.1898
"The Empress" - Simply Sweet Elegance!
Empress was made by Riverside Glass Works, ca. 1898, in crystal, emerald green (plain or gilt) & the extremely rare amethyst (considered experimental). Pieces made
include water & table set, berry set (2 sizes-8" with 4" indiv.;7" with 3 3/4" indiv.), ruffled ice cream set, toothpick, cruet, jelly compote, high-stand compotes, covered mustard, custard cup, salt dips
(difficult to identify-see crystal example below), salt shaker, 3 oil lamps, 2 finger lamps, nappies & plates, rare breakfast creamer & sugar, very rare celery,
and syrup (Gorham, 1995; Heacock, 1976-Book 3 & 1981-Book 6; and Jenks & Luna, 1990.). Other names include, Riverside
pattern No. 492 (Jenks & Luna, 1990) and Double Arch (Kamm, 1946, Pitcher Book V). There are no known reproductions.
Riverside Empress became my favorite pattern after purchasing the Water & tumbler set pictured here. Thus far, I find most of my pieces
on the Internet and most likely would have no collection at all without online contacts. I'm very new to collecting and have much to learn about how
and where to find pieces. I have found only one Empress piece, the cruet, in Eastern Washington where I live. Riverside glass, in general, is
difficult to find in my area, although, I have seen a few pieces in the X-ray, Ester and Croesus patterns.
What I have pictured below is my current collection in the Empress pattern. I am always interested in adding new pieces in any color.
